Identity cards with ƒ 1,00 and “kosteloos” (free) stamp
One of the identity cards shown here cost ƒ 1,-, which was the normal rate. This person moved several times to several places and was evacuated twice. The last update is of September 1946, which is long after the liberation.
Elmina, Gold Coast

Many Dutch (mainly) young men were in World War Two forced to work in Germany especially in the (war) industry. One of the worked for the pistols factory Mauser-Werken in Oberndorf (Neckar). The letter was sent by his father from Winsum (Gn.) 19.3.1945.
