In the process of sorting and transporting of mail, there is always a possibility that something is not going as smoothly as it should be. In this case, something happened to a picture postcard from Denpassar, Bali, Indonesia (cancelled 22.9.1986); it always will be a question of how and where things went wrong.
What we do know for sure, is that the card arrived damaged at the destination post office in Geleen. A red 3 lines postmark Geschonden/beschadigd/te Geleen ontvangen/de hoofdbesteller was placed, including the signature of the chef of the delivery department.
