door Nowadays fake products are regularly in the news and often linked to China. Fake products are not new however. Already in 1891(!) this was an issue. There was even a real magazine related to fake foodstuffs.
This postcard from Amsterdam (1891) was sent to Saint Petersburg. The senders stamp says: Revue Internationale/scientifique et populaire/des Falsifications des Denrées/Alimentaires/Amsterdam (1887 – 1907).
